I live in Pekin with my husband, daughter, and mother.  My husband has a lawncare business and is a wildlife seed distributor.  When I am not doing his bookkeeping or managing his website, I am a logistics and transportation manager for an active 9 year-old who is into volleyball, dance, and tumbling.  I am also a Girl Scout Troop Leader – because it’s never too early to start building confidence in girls.  I have worked at Caterpillar for nearly 30 years in a variety of accounting and human resource positions, in Peoria and in the UK.  Caterpillar is a proud sponsor of the Children’s Advocacy Center.

I was born and raised in Pekin, Illinois and am a 2001 graduate of Pekin Community High School.  I attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2005.  Following graduation, I held professional, Six Sigma and managerial positions at Principal Financial Group (Des Moines, IA), OSF Inc. (Peoria, IL) and Medivest Benefit Advisors (Orlando, FL).  I married my “high school sweetheart,” Kurt, in 2007 and we moved back to Pekin following his Podiatry Residency in 2011.  I am a stay-at-home mom to our three girls; Elle (7), Vivian (4) and Eva (2).  I am passionate about children and the Tazewell County Friends Board has given me an opportunity to pour some philanthropic energy into an organization outside of my home.
